ABOUT THE STUDIO
A New York studio devoted to the craft of remodeling.
Founded in 2008 by European-trained builders, Interior Design & Builders Inc has become one of the trusted general contractor behind some of Manhattan's most considered residences.
OUR STORY
Old-world craft meets New York rigor.
Interior Design & Builders was founded by master carpenters who trained in Europe and built their careers across New York's pre-war buildings and modern towers. We saw a gap: NYC owners deserved a contractor with the precision of a European workshop and the operational discipline a city like this demands.
Sixteen years later, we operate as a boutique studio, never more than a handful of concurrent projects, all led personally by a senior PM, all delivered with the same exact standard.
MISSION & VALUES
Build with the integrity our clients are paying for, every wall, every joint, every time.
Integrity
Honest scope. Honest pricing. Honest reporting
Craft
Detail is non-negotiable, even where no one will see it.
Partnership
We work for the owner, with the design team.
Partnership
We work for the owner, with the design team.
In-house, by design.
THE TEAM
Most NYC contractors rotate subcontractors based on the lowest bid. We don't. Our carpenters, tile setters, painters, and finish specialists are full-time employees who carry our standards with them to every job site.
